About us:

Rich Coatings is a family-owned, paint manufacturing facility based in the beautiful valley of Kommetjie, Western Cape. Although a newly formed manufacturing plant, we are privileged to have trained and continue to manufacture under license to a talented paint-smith who has developed reliable, environmentally friendly, price competitive coatings for the harsh South African conditions since 2002.

In addition, Rich Coatings boasts 4 decades’ collective experience in the construction & maintenance industries.  We are therefore not only passionate about manufacturing top quality coatings, we also offer sound knowledge in application techniques and have a keen appreciation of the importance of the final finish.

What we offer:    

Rich Coatings currently manufactures etch primers, steel coats, roof coats and a range of quality top-coats to suit varying budgets. Our quality top coats provide a silky smooth, easy to apply coating, with excellent spreadability and phenomenal coverage. These coatings are wet adhesion promoted, meaning that they dry from the outside in (towards the substrate) thus allowing prolonged reaction time with the substrate thereby ensuring optimal adhesion. The natural pigments used in the tinting of our products reduces colour fading drastically.

We also offer our innovative Nano Seal range – a specialised coatings range using innovative technology that protects and preserves against even the harshest conditions, providing waterproofing and corrosion prevention & treatment. This makes Nano Seal the perfect sealer for most substrates. Furthermore, applying Nano Seal over existing painted surfaces will enhance the quality and appearance of the surface as well as improve the life span of the surface, making good paint better.

Our three coat system, comprising of Etch primer, Nano Seal & Steel Coat, has been subjected to artificial weathering in accordance with SABS. Testing surpassed 6000 hours, the equivalent of 60 years, with no cracking, flaking, discoloration, sand wash off, or breakdown.
